I focus on the creative use of futures tools to impact long term positive change, particularly around social justice and equality. I utilize systems thinking, mapping,and speculative futures to engage with stakeholders on strategic visions and the actions needed to achieve them.

My work spans a number of sectors and topics. I work with companies big and small in fashion, consumer goods, food, and urban planning. Lately, I’ve worked with public sector partners on topics such as the future of feminism, neo-nationalism, and the impact of COVID-19. Above all, I try to bring provocation and creativity to my work with the intent of driving impact in a way that is inclusive, equitable, and transformative.

Alisha has been presenting lectures and workshops for diverse audiences ranging from Buddhist monks in Myanmar to US corporate executives. She often guest lectures at academic institutions and is a visiting fellow at the East-West Center in Honolulu. Alisha offers interactive workshops on futures thinking, applied case studies related to client interest, personal futures, design jams, and futures gaming. She is also available to sit on panels.

Alisha is passionate about creative collaborations between futurists, gamers, artists, activists, and academics. She has written content for role-playing games, acted out futures scenarios, and applied futures to community projects. I’m excited about bringing my own futures perspective to interesting and creative projects, particularly those around social change. I am also happy to provide feedback and advice.

Alisha offers a variety of services on futures related projects including trends research, report writing, and the inclusion of futures and systems thinking tools into established projects. She is a trained facilitator who can join an existing team and help workshops run smoothly. I will help connect you to tools and research as well as coach you on how to include foresight into your work.
